The red carpet was a treasure trove of bejewelled beauties on the second last day of the Venice Film Festival as stars illuminated the evening in ornate outfits. Running the gamut of eclectic embellishments, looks ranged from full-on bespangled to subtly street. Gracing the release of romantic horror-thriller The Bad Batch, British it-girl and leading lady Suki Waterhouse was beaming from head to toe in a glittering gown with silver and pearl hardware.

Adopting a different take was Japanese actress Hikari Mitsushima, who sported a street luxe-inspired neckline emblazoned with bedazzled varsity letters from Gucci, offering an interesting contrast to the cascading tulle. Creative director of Italian ready-to-wear brand Genny, Sara Cavazza Facchini, went bold in a chic cut-out jumpsuit adorned with crystal shards for an edgy night-time look. Scroll down to see who else nailed this trend with style.
