On the 11th day of Festival de Cannes, Asghar Farhadi's The Salesman was screened and the leading ladies brought out the classic gown with a train for a taste of old school glamour. Iranian actress Taraneh Alidoosti and Fatma Al Remaihi chose to go with the Watteau train — that gave the impression of a long, flowing veil — paired with neutral colours such as nude and black. Marie-Cassandre Bultheel swept the red carpet away in a scalloped lace number with a metallic touch. Zeina Nabulsi wore one of her own creations, a floral piece à la Spanish extravagance with a trailing train, while Ava West donned a canary yellow trumpet gown from Dolce & Gabbana for a much needed pop of colour.
