The Antoinette Perry Award for Excellence in Theatre, or more fondly known as the Tony Award, acknowledges achievements in live Broadway theatre. Honouring the best of the season's musicals, plays, performances and more, last night was filled with laughter and plenty of music in typical Broadway fashion. Bagging the top prize at the 70th annual awards for Best Musical and Best Play were Hamilton and The Humans respectively.

Never one to miss out on its fair share of drama, the red carpet saw the biggest and brightest stars bringing their stylish A-game to the awards. Set against a rosy backdrop, the biggest night for Broadway was graced by actors, models and directors. Attendees included the likes of Cate Blanchett, Lucy Liu, Karolína Kurková, Liya Kebede and Jourdan Dunn.
