Hedi Slimane was quick to cotton on to the addictive quality of a toy-sized bag. Remember the brand's Candy design that first sat on their shelves in SS14? Slimane definitely redefined standards of small with the Candy bag – there was no way the iPhone5 (not to mention, the iPhone6) could have snuggled into that. But the miniature cross-body proved endearing enough for practicality to take the backseat, and Slimane took reign of the baby bag bandwagon from there on.
This FW15, the brand's range of small bags includes the Baby Chain Monogram which takes on the colour wheel as well as embellishments and tulle in their signature grunge/punk aesthetic. The crowd pleaser, Sac De Jour, will also be available in a new toy-sized version that's even tinier than the Nano (almost the size of the Candy).
Our pick? Definitely the Toy Sac De Jour. It's hard to go wrong with one of Slimane's early design triumphs in his time with Saint Laurent. And besides, our phones barely stay in our bags for long anyway. But he knew that already.
