Nothing quite catches the eye like a good dose of colour. But combine that with kinetic prints and, ladies and gentlemen, you have yourself a certified showstopper. Not for the faint-hearted, Riccardo Tisci at Givenchy went all out with complete looks slathered in the ancient print, designer Junichi Abe at Kolor applied it to a shawl for more of an Argentinian gáucho flavour, while Donatella at Versace was (surprisingly) more restrained with a black-and-white incarnation on a knee-length coat. But the best reissue of the micro trend? The intricate handiwork at Valentino. Superb.
