Last season, designer Kris Van Assche sent out a dark fall/winter 2016 collection in the Paris Tennis Club that fused the maison's haute couture tradition with skating references (think: beanie-cum-hats, wide-cut skater trousers, and fabric pulls and tabs used as embellishments on blazers).

For spring/summer 2017, Van Assche continued to play with the hybridisation of fashion — blending sportswear with suiting — but this time, incorporating industrial elements by way of eyelets, staples and sports lacing, to Dior's iconic slim-cut suits; all set against a rollercoaster fun fair installation dotted with multi-coloured lights.
