BALENCIAGA: POWER SUITING
Designer: Demna Gvasalia
Synopsis: The highly anticipated first menswear runway show for Balenciaga (ever!) was a sartorial exploration on fit — oscillating between protruding statement shoulders on blazers, coats and bombers, to super-tight construction of the same.
Designer: Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli
Synopsis: A series of 'uniforms' with trousers, shirting, blousons and duster coats all routinely crafted from the same material, contrasted with camouflage parkas and field jackets. But the most memorable part of the collection? That snarling black panther appliquéd on varsity bombers and a gorgeous camel cashmere coat.
