The set design: The show began with a rotating robatic cube with stage strip lighting that soon after split into two to reveal the first model in the opening look. The set was designed by none other than Hedi Slimane.
Must-have: Whether you call it wellingtons, gum, or rain boots, the one thing we can all agree on is how much we want to make a splash with those rubber boots come the monsoons. We'll take one in crystal studs, thank you.
Lesson learnt: The parade of sheer lace slip dresses got us thinking about how we're going to keep away the chills at Glastonbury. Don't fret. Slimane has it covered with leather lingerie including lingerie worn underneath dresses.
The finale: After serving up grungy festival attires that included denim, biker jackets, shaggy shrugs and lots of embellished lace slips, an army of Saint Laurent girls came marching out in black slinky slip maxi dresses and one gold dress sans tiaras.
Soundtrack: The Mirror by Damaged Bug. The song was written and recorded in LA by John Dwyer especially for the Saint Laurent show.
