The collection: Isabel Marant has always enjoyed a strong cult following and she continues to please her devotees with an endless wardrobe dedicated to bohemia. Her SS16 collection was nothing short of tribal-printed wrap skirts, embroidered robes and peasant tops. But this time, Marant also presented a selection of clean looks (striped of ethnic details) embellished with a flashy metallic sheen. Perhaps she's trying to expand her appeal to the minimalist crowd? Whatever it is, we're not complaining.
Try this now: Take your ethnic shawls and wrap them over your harem trousers (didn't we tell you it's back?) for a skirt and trouser combi with a tribal twist.
#Want: The black nomadic rope sandals in all four styles — the nautical theme is strong this season.
The venue: After running inbetween shows, bracing ourselves against the chilly Parisian air, showgoers were treated to beautiful sunshine at Isabel Marant's open-air show venue at the Jardin du Palais-Royal. For a brief moment, we thought summer was upon us and we revelled in every warming moment.
The soundtrack: Guests were bobbing their heads to the old school beats of 90s hip-hop. Remember the tunes of Boom! Shake The Room by DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince? "Tick, tick tick, Boom!"
