Milan men's fashion week

GIORGIO ARMANI: IT'S A WRAP
Designer: Giorgio Armani
Synopsis: The Italian design icon continued to deliver his trademark soft-shouldered suiting — in his dependable assortment of navys, blacks and greys — but added a twist this season with large wrap-around scarves. Styled like a halter-neck, looping around the neck and crossing at the chest, these wraps had sleeve-like ends for the models to slip their arms into; thereby, securing them into place. Innovative. Elsewhere, rich velvets were presented in verdant greens and terracotta reds (a welcome boost of colour in a sea of blues) while my favourite look was a leather coat with a drawstring waist (trend alert: we've seen this also at Salvatore Ferragamo and Ermenegildo Zegna) layered over a fur hoodie (the casual-cool combo we've witnessed many times this week).
