LOUIS VUITTON: PUNK LUXURY
Designer: Kim Jones
Synopsis: Instead of Parc André Citreön, the menswear show this season was held in Domaine national du Palais Royal. And with the location change — from the suburbs to the city — came an edgier, more animalistic and punk, aesthetic.
KOLOR: MUTED MÉLANGE
Designer: Junichi Abe
Synopsis: A languid wardrobe of muted staples characterised by a mélange of checks and Navajo prints, enlivened with punchy shots of rich grapefruit and bright aqua.
ISSEY MIYAKE: WHITE HOT
Designer: Yusuke Takahashi
Synopsis: Free and easy pieces that will form the basis of your new summer wardrobe: White pleated tunic, generously cut trousers, bib-front shirts, and dramatic amorphous parkas.
DRIES VAN NOTEN: BRIGHTS LIGHTS, BIG VOLUMES
Designer: Dries Van Noten
Synopsis: Eschewing the highbrow nature of his fall 2016 show, Van Noten showcased a grungy collection replete with washed out camouflage on bombers and berms, knit sweaters with long fringe detailing, and the bright flash of metallic silver on oversized parkas and tops.
