Kristen Stewart may be a self-proclaimed jeans and T-shirt girl, but the unconventional beauty is the face of prestigious fashion houses such as Balenciaga and Chanel. Alluring in Balenciaga's Florabotanica campaign, rocker chic in Chanel's Paris-Dallas campaign and stunningly handsome in the brand's spring/summer 2015 eyewear campaign, our woman crush is a professional chameleon.
We couldn't care less about naysayers claiming K-Stew as talentless and deadpan. Having won numerous awards along the way, the leading lady has more than just blockbusters and indie films under her belt. An unlikely darling in the fashion industry, her latest conquest is her lead role in Karl Lagerfeld's short film for Chanel set to be unveiled on 1 December before the brand's Métiers d'art Paris-Rome 2015/16 show in Rome.
Titled Once and Forever, the 11-minute masterpiece is another fantastical portrayal of Coco Chanel where Stewart plays an actress preparing for the role of the designer. Cool and androgynous, Stewart makes a worthy addition to the list of actresses that has played the late fashion icon. From the looks of it, Karl was more than impressed by her performance. "[Kristen is] so good. I think she’s one of the greatest actors of her generation. She gives the right emotion and the right intensity immediately so it’s very easy to work her..." commented Karl in an interview with WWD.
Stewart's 'gawky' mannerisms are often mistaken for awkwardness, but it is precisely this elusive appeal that makes her uniquely real in a sea of picture perfect unattainables.
