If you missed out on Alexa Chung's first collaborative collection with AG, here's your second chance. Taking inspiration from a fictional girl gang kicking up a dust storm in the desert, Chung explains, "The first collection was very focused and stripped back, I challenged myself to create an essential denim wardrobe. With the second collection it was more about exploring where else we could take it."
While the second collection still focuses on Chung's denim essentials such as the jumpsuit, A-line skirt and high-rise jeans, it's hard not to get excited about the line's expanded range of ready-to-wear pieces. Sweaters in both fitted and relaxed silhouettes are offered in pure wool, luxe merino and cashmere. Other separates include a pindot pattern blouse, Dottie button-down shirt, graphic T-shirts and French-terry sweatshirts.
"This is truly a proper ready-to-wear collection. The collection is elevated yet still accessible, and is quintessential Alexa, while still embodying the AG brand," said Sam Ku, President of AG.
The highly anticipated instalment also includes its first outwear additions — the vintage-inspired suede Walker coat and Hitt shrunken jacket. The 30-piece collection ranges from tomboyish to feminine cuts, and also boasts a wider variety of textures like rich suede, sumptuous corduroy, chambray and broken twill.
The collection launches online at stylebop.com today.
