Parisian concept boutique Rue Madame opens in Singapore
The brainchild of Hong-Kong based Parisian, Ariane Zagury, Rue Madame is the ultimate shopping destination for anyone looking to achieve that French flair without having to take a 14 hour flight to Paris. With over 40 French brands under one roof, the boutique carries coveted labels such as IRO, Athé by Vanessa Bruno, Majestic and Mes Demoiselles to name a few.
"It's a concept boutique from real women for real women. We don't dictate fashion or trends. We simply cater to women seeking an alternative wardrobe and unique shopping experience," explains Zagury who started the business shortly after she moved to Hong Kong when she realised that stylish Hong Kong women had no access to authentic French brands.
When asked how she curates the labels, Zagury responds, "I don't know nor do I want to know what is popular in the market. For me, it's not just about the name, it has a lot to do with the product." Rue Madame also carries a few European bags and accessory labels hand-picked and test-driven by Zagury herself. Her personal favourite? Antonello, an eco-conscious Italian brand known for its hand-woven recycled fibre bags.
Located at the newly renovated third level of Ngee Ann City, items carried on their shop floor are never repetitive. So be sure to drop by every two weeks when new arrivals hit the racks. And for the boho girl, you'll find everything you need for your free-spirited sartorial soul.
