10 looks from Burberry's September show to buy now
We cherry-pick the leading looks for her and him from Burberry's first combined runway show. Best thing about it? You can shop them now
The spring/summer 2017 season has officially made its mark in fashion history as the beginning of a modern retail journey. Part of the game changers who are breaking the fashion calendar mould, Burberry announced its bold transition to a direct-to-consumer model earlier in February this year. And following fellow trailblazers Ralph Lauren and Tom Ford’s runway-to-retail New York Fashion Week debuts, Burberry inaugurated its September show as part of London Fashion week yesterday. The runway combined both womenswear and menswear collections in a new format that allows consumers to shop all the looks immediately after the show.
Held at Makers House — a change from its usual venue of Hyde Park — the collection heeds the bygone British days through the spirit of Nancy Lancaster's gardens and Virginia Woolf's Orlando. Blending a mix of denim, cashmere and pyjama silks, the collection blurs the masculine and feminine, casual and formal, night and day. Overwhelmed by the options? Not to worry, here's our top 10 picks from the runway — that you can buy now. Yes, now.
