Eccentric bags have become a mainstay on the runways and "too much of a good thing" is an irrelevant adage this season. Spearheading the revolution is the eclectic girls' go-to favourite, Miu Miu. If you were as excited by their fall/winter 2016 collection earlier this March as we were, you know what we're talking about: The plethora of '70s floral tapestry and sumptuous velvets apropos to the Young Fogeys style tribe back in London's romantically conservative days.

Slung on It-girls walking the Miu Miu runway — yes, the Hadid siblings included — were the MIUlady shoulder and top handle crossbody bags. A reinvention of the timeless Madras bag first introduced in the spring season, the classic handbag's flap closure is now decorated with an oversized brass belt buckle hand-embellished with gemstones in the most vibrant of hues. Crafted in fine leather with a jarring mix of vintage textures, the MIUlady comes in a palette of pop-bright shades any audacious spirit would only be too happy to own. As Miuccia Prada defined her latest collection, it's all about "Dressing with what's left. Nobility and misery!" With that said, if we're all about to face the apocalypse, we might as well go down with an intrepidly hot bag in tow.

The MIUlady will be available in-store at all Miu Miu boutiques on mid-September.
