Who: Tarantino does ensemble casts well, and this time, he's roped in the likes of Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Walton Goggins and Tim Roth.
What: The premise begins simply. Set in Wyoming a number of years after the Civil War, what happens when a group of armed strangers are trapped together in a blizzard?
When: Premieres in American cinemas on 25 December.
Why it matters: Tarantino will be working with cinematographer Robert Richardson, the lens behind Kill Bill, Inglourious Basterds and Django Unchained, Tarantino's last film. Expect the same risqué violence, dark humour, and a bloody good time — literally.
