5 things to do this weekend: 23 - 25 December
Giddy up, jingle bells
SHOP | The Local People x Chijmes Xmas in the Tropics Art Market
Fancy a tarot card reading before Christmas? Head to this local festive market for some last minute #realtalk before the new year. Lounge in Airmocks, sip on some horchata de chufs (tiger nut milk) by Chufala and support buskers like Tommy Dean.
23 to 24 December, 7-10pm at CHIJMES. For more information, click here.
ART | Co:Liberate: A Response to 'The Topless Liberation Front'
We've already recommended Bhavna Shivayogimath's exhibition series 'The Topless Liberation Front' — now, it's time for artists of other disciplines to chime in. In response to the series, each local artist will pick a painting and respond through poetry, performance art or music. On the bill tonight are poets Deborah Emmanuel and Stephanie Dogfoot, performance artist Sonia Kwek and composer Chong-Li Chuan.
23 December, 8-10pm at Artistry. For more information, click here.
MUSIC | Lepark to a Christmas Musical
Done with Christmas Eve dinners? Grab your mates and chill out at our favourite rooftop venue, Lepark. Together with The Getai Group, they've roped in musicians Maricelle (who's about to drop her EP, Pursuit, this January) and Shak'thiya Subramaniamm for two solo sets and an unexpected duet.
24 December, 8pm-midnight at Lepark. For more information, click here.
PARTY | Canvas x Kitsuné Club Night Presents Pat Lok
Kitsuné Club Night returns to Singapore bringing soul, R&B and house by way of Pat Lok, with Roy & Special K as supporting acts. For a teaser of Lok's material, listen to him below.
24 December, 10pm-4am at Canvas Club. For more information, click here.
FAMILY | Christmas at Tanjong Pagar Railway Station
Before the Tanjong Pagar Railway Station closes for SLA's development till 2025, spend its last days as you know it this Christmas. Explore the building's heritage, enjoy a jazz performance by Richard Jackson and an a capella performance by NUS Resonance with some good old Christmas caroling. Definitely one for the family.
25 December, 9am-9pm at Tanjong Pagar Railway Station. For more information, click here.
