With Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody as the soundtrack to the trailer of one of the most anticipated superhero movies of the year, Suicide Squad looks to be one hell of a joyride
With an ensemble cast of social media-friendly names (Cara Delevingne, Scott Eastwood) and Hollywood's gung-ho talents (Margot Robbie, Will Smith), Suicide Squad has a lot to live up to. Firstly, there's the live debuts of DC Comics' characters (Harley Quinn, Enchantress). Then there's Jared Leto's version of the Joker, one Jack Nicholson has embodied to near perfection decades ago, and revived again by the late Heath Ledger in Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy.
If the trailers are true indicators of what to expect in August, we're in for a ride. With the first trailer released last July to the haunting rendition of the Bee Gees' I Started a Joke, the second one released just now takes us on a journey through Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody. Watch the trailer below — you'll never listen to the classic the same way again.
Suicide Squad will be shown in local theatres from 4 August.
