Social media scoop: Taylor Swift vs. Kanye West, Kat Von D vs. Jeffree Star, Michelle Obama vs. Melania Trump
Feuds and fans
1. Taylor Swift isn't your average girl next door after all
The internet almost exploded on 16 July when Kim Kardashian released a conversation between Kanye West and Taylor Swift on Snapchat. Long story short: Swift made West look like the bad guy when his song Famous — which included what she called "offensive" lines involving her — was first released, but now that there's proof that she knew of her involvement, the tables have turned. She's since retaliated (but of course), and so have some members of her "girl squad" including Brooklyn Beckham's beau Chloë Grace Moretz.

2. Kim Kardashian butts in, again
Because why wouldn't she? When West supporters and former Swift fans took to her Instagram account to post snake emojis, she played the good wife and further taunted the whole issue with this cheeky tweet.
Wait it's legit National Snake Day?!?!?They have holidays for everybody, I mean everything these days!— Kim Kardashian West (@KimKardashian) July 17, 2016
3. Calling all Kylie lip kit addicts
Meanwhile, her little sisters are onto greater things: Kylie Jenner has released new hues for her famed lip kit. Time to place those orders.
4. Kendall and Kaia share the love
Models can take pictures too. Seems like Kendall Jenner's following the footsteps of fellow millenial model Brooklyn Beckham (he's shooting campaigns for Burberry now) by photographing Cindy Crawford's little one, Kaia Gerber for LOVE magazine.
5. Michelle Obama vs Melania Trump: Who said it better?
Another phenomenon vying to break the internet is Melania Trump's speech at the opening night of the Republican National Convention in Cleveland. The best thing to come out of this political boo-boo? The hashtag, #FamousMelaniaTrumpQuotes, where contributors weigh in on other things Trump might have actually said.

"...my fellow Americans ask not what your copy & paste can do for you, ask what you can do for your copy & paste" #FamousMelaniaTrumpQuotes— Laura Bedrossian (@LauraBedrossian) July 19, 2016
6. Michelle Obama raising the roof is your next obsession
Nothing phases Obama though, who's possibly the coolest First Lady America's ever had. On James Corden's latest Carpool Karaoke, she dropped the mic, got her freak on (thanks to Missy Elliott) and raised the roof.
7. Kat Von D and Jeffree Star aren't friends anymore
While Kat Von D's been busy in Singapore these two days (her makeup line's going to launch in Sephora soon), she's also caught in a tussle with makeup artist Jeffree Star. She filmed a video in Singapore to explain her sudden disassociation from Star, who then responded with a video of his own.
8. Leslie Jones leaves Twitter amid abuse from online trolls
Ghostbusters' Leslie Jones — who's been the subject of online racial abuse — recently called it quits with Twitter. Amy Schumer and Kerry Washington were quick to share their support for the star, who also made headlines when no designers offered to dress Jones for the Ghostbusters premiere.
I leave Twitter tonight with tears and a very sad heart. All this cause I did a movie. You can hate the movie but the shit I got today...wrong— Leslie Jones (@Lesdoggg) July 19, 2016
.@Lesdoggg is hilarious and strong and beautiful and she will be back with a vengeance I can't wait for you to see what she is capable of— Amy Schumer (@amyschumer) July 19, 2016
9. Ruby Rose drops her two cents, and then some
Amid all the negativity, Orange Is The New Black star Ruby Rose thinks it's her place to drop some knowledge. But it appears self-actualisation might not be her strong suit. Note: Celebrities really enjoy iPhone's notes function.
The Internet/social media has endless possibilities, positive possibilities but more often than not its a sad place. pic.twitter.com/eQzNvR2rSy— Ruby Rose (@RubyRose) July 18, 2016
10. Gisele turns 36
The Brazilian bombshell's a year older. The July baby received heartfelt wishes from her crew: husband Tom Brady, legendary photographer Ellen von Unwerth and fellow model Karlie Kloss.
