Social media scoop: The Olympics 2016 edition
Rio in pictures
1. Brazilian bae
U.S. gymnast Simone Biles broke the hearts of women all over the world when she posted a picture of herself with gymnast Arthur Mariano, who we recently featured in our list of Asians to watch (he's half Japanese).
2. King of Snapchat
If there's an account everyone's following closely, it's Mariano's. The gymnast's Snapchat shows off his cheeky self as he takes us behind the scenes of the biggest sporting event in the world.
3. Influencing the influencer
Biles doesn't just attract the likes of Mariano as her fans. Even North West is hooked onto her gift, along with a fellow Kardashian.

4. Dad's biggest fan
Speaking of tiny fans, nobody is as cute and as committed as Michael Phelps' biggest fan, his three-month-old son Boomer — who has a verified Instagram account.
5. 21st time's the charm
Justin Timberlake's also a supporter — his tweet in awe followed after an *NSYNC reunion picture that would make the 12-year-old version of yourself drop her panties.

6. Celebrity snaps
Other celebrities spotted enjoying the Olympics: Elizabeth Banks, Leslie Jones and Matthew McConaughey and wife Camila Alves.
7. Omega's favourite
Omega's poster boy Eddie Redmayne also attended the Olympics in grand fashion.
8. Faithful followers
Meanwhile, celebrities such as Zac Efron even tuned in from as far away as Japan.
9. The world falls in love with a well-oiled man
Panties and jaws dropped when Pita Taufatofua walked the opening ceremony wearing a traditional Tongan costume and a lot of coconut oil. But get in line ladies (and gentlemen), the likes of models Alessandra Ambrosio and Adriana Lima have set their sights on him.
10. Asian sensations
Once again, the Olympics prove that Asians just do it better.
