Five things to do this weekend: 20 - 22 May
Happy Vesak Day
ART | 'How to Disappear Into a Rainbow' by Dawn Ng
Want to lose yourself in art? Here's how: Visit the new Hermès store at Liat Towers (look out for the firework maker on the roof of the building), head to the fourth floor and experience Singapore artist Dawn Ng's 'How to Disappear Into a Rainbow'. Catch up with her here on the Yves Klein-inspired work.
Till 14 August at Aloft at Hermès, 541 Orchard Road.
MUSIC | THE ALICIA AFFAIR ✦ A Rendezvous with Alicia Pan
We love Alicia Pan, not because she's a good friend, but also for her sultry, deliciously-smooth voice. Watch her perform her signature rnb and jazz-led tunes that'll heat things up in The Powder Room — but before that, catch up with her below.
20 May, 9pm till late at The Powder Room. For more details, click here.
PARTY | Block Party ft. Daytime Dancing
Spend the night at the museum. Hosted by Gallery & Co., Zouk and Kyo favourite Daytime Dancing will bring his melodic techno sounds, which he describes as sitting somewhere between Balearic and Berlin.
20 May, 9pm till late at Gallery & Co. Outdoor bar. For more details, click here.
MARKET | OPEN DECK
Bid farewell to the Steidl exhibition and say hello to OPEN DECK, the first marketplace hosted by the cool kids at these former shipping containers. Boba Brew's introducing their new Strawberry Yakult Tea, although we're still fans of their good old matcha brew.
21 to 22 May from 12 - 5pm. For more details, click here.
MUSIC | TROPICAL TEMPLE: 2nd Anniversary Fiesta on the Hill
A fan of African, Latin and Caribbean beats? Don't miss your chance to boogie with the likes of Neil Bopperson, Kusto from Tropical Temple, Pushin'On's Shellsuit, Ramesk K, KiloWatt Soundsystem's The Gonzo and Wicked Aura's Budi at this outdoor fiesta. Drinks are settled by Jameson Irish Whiskey. Go.
21 May from 3pm till late at kult kafé. For more details, click here.
