Not content with being the purveyors of music beach festivals in Southeast Asia, Zouk Singapore has upped their ante, coming together with Jakarta-based promoters Ismaya Live to present an alternative way to celebrate National Day. Bidding farewell to their Beach Beats Fest concept, the duo have come up with We The Citizens Fest, taking place at good old Jiak Kim Street instead. Employing the dance rooms you've come to love — the main room, Velvet Underground and Phuture — We the Citizens Fest will make you feel right at home.

The headliners they've promised for the initial Beach Beats Fest remain, with a lineup of dance, soul, funk and electronic names such as Mark Ronson, Sam Feldt, Hayden James and Ta-ku.

On the local front, indie musician Charlie Lim will still be performing, while DJ bigwigs STASSH (Hookstyle & KFC), Andrew Tang, Matthew and RAH from Darker Than Wax have been added to help blowout the birthday candles. Majulah Singapura.

We The Citizens Fest is happening on 9 August from 1 to 11pm at Zouk Singapore. Book tickets here.
