If you didn't manage to get a ticket to one of Gentle Bones' two sold out shows this June at the Esplanade Concert Hall, don't worry — you can get up close to Joel Tan (as he's otherwise known as) on your own time with his new EP.

Titled Geniuses & Thieves, the five tracks on his EP see the 22-year-old slowly shedding his folk pop origins for an r&b-led album coupled with infectious electro hooks. Look out for single Run Tell Daddy, written by Tan and produced by Yves Rothman (who also produced for Post Malone and Charli XCX). Another collaborator is Linying, one of Singapore's up and coming female singers who features on Liar. An intimate vocal dance about love and letting go, it's recommended for that long bus ride where you'll kick yourself wondering why you didn't buy a ticket to the Gentle Bones concert sooner.

If you can't get enough, you can also purchase a new range of Geniuses & Thieves' merchandise collection at TOPMAN Ion Orchard from now till 5 June.

Gentle Bones' EP Geniuses & Thieves is now available here.
