We've heard from bittymacbeth on what went on in the making of her debut, Beauty For Ashes — and if you've missed her launch last May, here's another chance to catch the soul sister.

The local singer-songwriter will headline Concerts on the Hill, a new live music series by non-profit creative agency Hyphen. The same guys behind the the 'PPC: A Public Living Room' exhibition at People's Park Complex in January, they'll be bringing an eclectic lineup of acts four times a year.

Joining bittymacbeth is producer Evan Low, a frequent collaborator with the likes of Inch Chua and Tim De Cotta. The first regional act joining the bill is Aussie-Cambodian band Cambodian Space Project, who describe themselves as "space trippers from various planets preparing a mission to beam its unique mix of space rock, surf, reggae, dub, Khmer Surin, Cambodian rock psychedelica". Brace yourselves.

The inaugural gig from Concerts on the Hill will be held on 14 August from 7.30pm at 11 Upper Wilkie Road. Book your tickets from Peatix here.
