The first time Marvel came to town, Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx and director Marc Web walked the red carpet at the skating rink of The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands in 2014 for The Amazing Spider-Man. Unfortunately, Garfield has retired from the web-slinging role. Instead, newbie Tom Holland will take on the role as Spider-man officially enters the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Captain America: Civil War, to be released in cinemas on 28 April.
And boy has Marvel been a tease. On 21 March, they released a picture of Marina Bay Sands on Marvel Singapore's Twitter account. Clearly on #TeamCap — who includes Falcon and Winter Soldier — it set fans into a frenzy of who might be arriving to Singapore.
A Marina Bay Sands rep has confirmed today that Team Cap, represented by Chris Evans (Captain America), Anthony Mackie (Falcon) and Sebastian Stan (Winter Soldier) are indeed making their way to Singapore. Other Avengers appearing in the movie inlcude Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Scarlett Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), War Machine (Don Cheadle) and Ant-Man (Paul Rudd). For the trio, they'll be walking the red carpet at the skating rink with director Joe Russo. So save the date, queue up early and get ready to pick a side. Or perhaps, fend for one.
