It's been called a lot of things: literotica for housewives, trashy chick lit, anti-feminist, pro-BDSM and the like. But love it or hate it, the 50 Shades of Grey trilogy has been wildly successful, having reportedly sold 125 million copies worldwide.
Author Erika James announced today on her Instagram account (@erikaljames) that a fourth installment of the series, simply titled Grey and written from the male protagonist's point of view, will be released on 18 June. After three rounds of Anastasia's lip-quivering narrative, it should be a refreshing change to see the relationship from Christian's point of view — there are two sides to every story, after all.
An audio version is also in the works, which will make for an amusing alternative to the playlist on your morning commute.
