5 things to do this weekend: 10 - 12 March
Weekend game plan
MUSIC | Live Nation Lushington presents: The Temper Trap
The makers of the highly emotive anthem Sweet Disposition are returning to Singapore. After a hiatus of four years, Dougy Mandagi and his crew are here to promote their recently released album, Thick as Thieves. Check out our interview with them here.
10 March, 8pm at The Coliseum, Hard Rock Hotel Singapore. Click here to book your tickets.
CULTURE | Armenian Street Party 2017
Immerse yourself in Peranakan culture as music, dining and dancing take centre stage. Stuff your faces at local food kiosks and enjoy the locally-inspired cocktail such as Mabuk Dino brewed by the folks at Timbre. Don't forget Romeo and Ahlian, a local twist on the famous Shakespearean play.
SHOP | Ask a French Flowers hosted by Boutique Fairs
The bi-annual Boutique Fairs is back this weekend. Catch Aude Giraud of Ask a French Flowers in action for demonstrations on how to jazz up a table with a floral wreath centrepiece or arrangement. In addition, you get to call first dibs on Matter and other new collections which will be exclusively launching.
From 10 to 11 March, 10am to 8pm at F1 Pit Building. For more information, click here.
MUSIC | Sideshow presents: Sunday at the Shed
Here's one for the alternative hip hop fans out there. Sunday at the Shed returns to feature #ManCrushMonday Tall Black Guy and other acts such as Aaron DRM, Sideshow DJs Shellsuit and Stew and even live graffiti by JABA One. Best news, it's free admission and family-friendly.
CULTURE | Francophonie Festival 2017
If your love for France goes beyond croissants and the famous Eiffel Tower, the Francophonie Festival 2017 will present films, plays and exhibitions surrounding French arts. The festival starts with a screening of Le Pépites, a film about children in Phnom Penh as they scavenge through a dump site.
