There's so much talent to fit into a 10-track playlist — but we had fun trying, and here are our favourites
Who else wept watching the short film featuring veteran local band The Silver Strings last year? We admittedly did, and with Weish's equally charming cover of the 1965 hit You're The Boy, we're about to bawl again — in sheer appreciation. Another cover we're hooked onto is Joie Tan's take on The Big Bang, a sensual acoustic version of the Miley Cyrus and Rock Mafia original. We love original productions as much as covers, hence our love for piano folk artist Chris Jones (also known as These Brittle Bones), a Brit based in Singapore. Fans of electronic pop will flock to Riot !n Magenta, who experiments with mellow synths and tight rhythms with strong vocals from lead Eugenia Yip. Live it up with some funk and hip-hop from Kevin Lester and Masia One, your go-to names to get your groove on.
