A Franglais debut by Christine and the Queens leads this week's selection of new tracks
If you're looking for something to take with you on a self-fulfilling trip (it is nearing the year end, after all), check out Christine and the Queens. This French pop outfit has tapped into the genius of, well, Perfume Genius into Jonathan, a smooth lullaby-like track off their upcoming self-titled debut album.
If you're up for something less chill, Skylar Spence's disco pop hit off his new record, Prom King, will get you into the groove. Chromatics continues to tease us snippets from their upcoming album, Dear Tommy, with Shadows, a lovesick-laden tune. If you don't know who they are, you might recognise lead Ruth Radelet's whispery vocals in Mango's recent advert featuring Cara Delevingne and Kate Moss. Meanwhile, for a refreshing throwback to the '90s, Garbage's Special is given the Torres treatment, delivering a delicious sliver of heartbreak with her cries.
