Buro 24/7 Singapore Weekly Playlist #91: Alle Farben
I find a lot of inspiration for my own tracks in tracks I like to listen to. As I'm in the process of writing my new album, I thought it would be good to give an insight into what people can expect. I love Bonobo's ambient style and the vocals on his first single of his latest album, Kerala, are so catchy from the first listen. For a super chunky beat, check out Damian Lazarus & The Ancient Moons' track, Vermillion (&ME Remix). The synth work is brilliant as well. There isn't a lot going on but it fills the space really well and gives the track a lot of interest points.
I have been hooked on the band RÜFÜS for a while and the Andhim Remix of Innerbloom takes it up to another level, making it perfect for the dancefloor. The vocal is haunting and melancholic but also makes you happy — a rare combination that's pretty special when an artist pulls it off. RY X's track, Deliverance (Fort Romeau Remix) has a really old school feeling to it. I think it's the piano chords but everything in the track comes together really well and creates the perfect balance that makes it work in a club as well as for listening at home.
Kölsch has been on fire recently and has really blown up. He really deserves it as his tracks are great and Grey is one of his best. The trumpets really make the track stand out and is one of the reasons it was the track of the year in 2016.
Alle Farben was in Singapore to play at the Noon to Moon party at CÉ LA VI Singapore last month. His new album comes out later this year. For more of his remixes and tracks, click here.
