What turns you off?
Just bad vibes — when people have bad vibes. Like what's wrong with you?
What is your favorite curse word?
This one is weird, because instead of saying "s**t", I would say "scheisse", which is what it is in German.
What sound or noise do you love?
Hmm...I really like the human voice, like singing. I love electronic music — I like and appreciate it — but the whole time, I'm thinking about what I can sing over it. I love hearing vocals.
What sound or noise do you hate?
I don't know...probably the scraping of styrofoam.
What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
Probably into food. I planned on going to culinary school before all this happened. I still plan on going back to it.
What profession would you not like to do?
I don't know...I used to work in retail. I know a lot of people hate it, but I used to like it. Even in the bad moments, they gave me a chance to work on how to give back to the customers. I probably want to say food. I want to work in food, but I feel like I would be a 1,000 pounds.
If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?
"Have you met Whitney Houston?"
Shamir performs at Laneway Festival on 30 January at 4.55pm. For more festival coverage, click here.
