Thanks to the good folks at Golden Village, the Love & Pride Film Festival returns for the seventh time. A selection of English, Chinese and foreign films make up this year's lineup, comprising of the one underlying theme that unites us all: Universal love.

Kicking off the festival is the gala premiere of Mandarin drama Baby Steps, which stars Taiwanese-American Barney Cheong (who also wrote and directed the film) as Danny, one half of a gay couple longing for a baby. Film buffs who wish to get up close and personal can also catch Cheong at the premiere on 9 October for a sharing session.

If you're still caught up with fashion week frenzy, Saint Laurent is one to watch, starring French actor Gaspard Ulliel. While the film's notoriously not the one authorized by Saint Laurent's partner, Pierre Berge, Ulliel still hands in a stunning performance.

The Love & Pride Film Festival runs from 9 to 18 October. For the full lineup and tickets, click here.
