Does every creative American have a love affair with Paris?
Apparently so — or at least, that's what cinema has led us to believe. Richard Benson (William Holden) in Paris When It Sizzles was so enamoured by the city that the screenwriter wrote dearly of his romance; Jerry Mulligan (Gene Kelly) in An American in Paris stayed on in the city in hopes of becoming a painter; and Gil Pender (Owen Wilson) was so caught up in the lives of the previous artists who lived there, that he began to hallucinate in Midnight in Paris.
Another American character enters this list, and this time, it's an unnamed lass played by Boyd Holbrook. The model-turned-actor finds himself romancing the city in Paris XVIE, a film collaboration between photographer Willy Vanderperre and Kris Van Assche. You can also see Dior Homme's latest squeeze in the Netflix Original Series Nachos, which just premiered in August — he plays Steven Murphy in the docu-drama chronicling the life of Columbian drug lord Pablo Escobar.
It's time to get acquainted with this James Dean lookalike, and this fashionable short film forms a great introduction. Watch the film below.
