The Campana Brothers marry three-dimensional technology with heritage fabrics in this addition to Louis Vuitton's Objets Nomades collection
We like our eggs à la Campana. Cocoon by Brothers Campana is part of a collection from Louis Vuitton's Objets Nomades, one of 16 double-duty travel-inspired pieces. The egg-shaped Cocoon is one such project that expertly showcases the frivolities of wanderlust with progressive and traditional craftsmanship.
Cocoon is the Brazilian brothers Fernando and Humberto at their best, identified by their use of unexpected materials and bold colours. Weaving tradition and innovation quite literally, the swing was framed using stereolithography (a form of 3D printing) that is then covered in red calfskin and quilted leather on the inside. A gilded steel and brass hook attached with braided leather hangs this striking beauty, which is flanked with cushions covered with broadcloth.
