Love the stylish simplicity Cos brings? Get in on their Spring 2016 furnishing line with HAY
The simple life
If there's one thing we truly trust the Danes on, it's design. Just look at the likes of Georg Jensen, Fritz Hansen and Bang & Olufsen — and yes, they just have to share similar-sounding last names — a design-oriented trio you'd spend your hard-earned money on. This dedication to pared-back style and substance doesn't exclude a studio like HAY, a long-time collaborator of COS.
If you love how a COS store looks, the credit's partly due to HAY. The duo have worked together for a number of years — in fact, COS uses HAY rails to display their collections. Their shared Scandinavian heritage (COS is Swedish) is banked on time and again as the duo continue to release products that allow the COS enthusiast to extend their loyalty to furnishings.
Handpicked by COS Heads of Design Karin Gustafsson and Martin Andersson, the new range inspires you to live, work and dine with their objects. Boxes for pens, files and other office essentials are made of perforated metal with a powder coating, while other metals are given a brighter boost of colours. For larger storage solutions, cardboard boxes come in gradient and dip-dye shades of blues and pinks. Subtle grains on wood amp up the style factor, adding a natural element to concrete slabs. To lighten up your lounging situation, add one of their lightweight, cotton throws, which are textured and tasseled.
