Boy does Britney Spears (or her public relations strategist) know to strike the iron while it's hot. Last week, she dropped her ninth album, Glory, jumped into Carpool Karaoke with James Corden, was announced as the subject of a Lifetime bio-pic and fuelled rumours about a possible collaboration with former flame Justin Timberlake. All in the span of one week. Oh, and she'll be performing at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) tonight. You know, just a day in the life of a pop superstar who doesn't seem to back down.

And she shouldn't. In the 17th year of her career, she's made comeback after comeback. Glory's been rising on the iTunes charts and receiving applause even from the likes of Rolling Stone, who called it "fantastic". At the 2016 MTV VMAs, she'll be performing alongside rapper G-Eazy for Make Me, celebrating her return to the MTV stage (where she's been intimate with Madonna and a snake — and we're not talking the Taylor Swift sort) since 2007.
