How to own art from the likes of Jessica Chastain, James Corden, Virgil Abloh and Chris Martin
Frieze London returns with a chance for you to own a postcard-sized version of your favourite celebrity's artwork. Yes, their own originals. To celebrate the launch of their new flagship store at Old Bond Street in London, Moncler has pooled together original work from 134 creatives to be exhibited in time for Frieze art fair. Guest curated by Business of Fashion's Tim Blanks, nearly 400 pieces from artists, actors, fashion designers, models, musicians, photographers and sportsmen will be donated. Each postcard will be sold at 60 pounds, with all proceeds going to two standout students for their two-year MA degree program in Fashion and Textiles at the Royal College of Art.
Among the names include Hollywood favourites Jessica Chastain, Jude Law and Benedict Cumberbatch, fashion designers Virgil Abloh, J.W. Anderson and Alber Elbaz as well as photographers Steve McCurry, Peter Lindbergh and Juergen Teller. Tennis player Rafael Nadal's also contributing a piece as well as publisher and girl about town Caroline Issa. The catch? You won't know who's the person behind each painting, drawing or photo until you purchase the work and see the signature at the back.
If you're in London for Frieze, it's a guessing game you won't want to miss. See some of the highlights below.
Moncler Freeze for Frieze will take place from 7 to 9 October at Moncler's flagship store at 26 Old Bond Street, London.
