Magical circus: Clé de Peau Beauté spring/summer 2016 makeup
A riot of colour
When it comes to spring, pastels are always in. But not everyone likes these soft, powdery hues. Clé de Peau Beauté's spring/summer makeup collection La Beauté Éblouissante — which translates roughly to dazzling beauty — takes a different approach by mixing pastels with bolder hues for a stunning combination. Take a cue from the brand's always pretty, never overdone ambassador Amanda Seyfried, and wear soft hues on the eyes and a bold, popsicle-like stain on the lips.
When it comes to the eyes, the brand has new solo eye colours in both powder and cream textures. The best part? The colours have different finishes ranging from shimmery to matte to semi matte. For cream eyeshadows especially, it can be difficult finding ones without shimmer in them, but hues like Lively Orange Gold (a semi-matte) and Sensitively Radiant Soft Pink (matte) make it easy to wear even in the day... when you want to keep your sparkle factor in check. They also make great eye bases for you to add other colours on.
Also on our radars from this collection, the Luminizing Face Enhancer in a new shade 15. Consisting of a mix of bold peach and coral hues blended with sparkling white, this gives our skin the perfect sunkissed and healthy glow we want in the hotter months.
And finally, we've always been fans of Clé de Peau Beauté's ultra-luxurious lipsticks. Yes, they're pricey compared to other ones out there, but the textures and rich finishes are pretty incomparable in our opinion. In three different finishes, a satin, silk and velvet; choose from a red orange, a peachy-red or a fuchsia pink. These eye-catching shades are bound to put a spring in your step when you put them on.
