At this year's Emmy's, a bevy of talented beauties stole the show with their classy makeup and sleek hairstyles. Known for their comedic chops, these funny women showed that they could glam up as well as their (serious) television and movie counterparts. Tracee Ellis Ross, daughter of Diana Ross and star of black-ish, was stunning in her elegant simplicity. With her hair tightly pulled back and makeup kept light in soft, nude tones, Ross showed off a stunning, freckled complexion. Kate McKinnon the breakout star of this summer's Ghostbusters and also a regular standout on Saturday Night Live, went full bombshell with her blonde waves, full lashes and red lips, without ever veering into costumey territory.
Other ladies who stood out? Ellie Kemper, the star of cult hit The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, sported coppery tresses (a major trend this season) in a sassy, sideswept bob, and Modern Family's va-va-voom beauty Sofia Vergara, who wore a fresh ponytail and burgundy lips combination. Not to be outdone, and hopping on the high ponytail bandwagon, was Constance Wu. She seemed to be channelling J-Lo's sexy sass with lightly bronzed skin, flirty lashes, giant hoop earrings and nude lips, a far cry from the sensible hair and makeup she wears as the matriarch on Fresh Off the Boat.
