The heat is on with Urban Decay's newest Naked palette and makeup collection
Fan the flame
If there's anything that gets a beauty fan's temperature rising faster than an office worker venturing out at lunchtime, it's Urban Decay's best-selling and much-copied Naked palettes. And after giving us four editions, the brand has turned up the heat even more — in a literal sense — by adding tones of warm brown, burnt orange and rich sienna to the 12 shades in the palette. Because the palettes are always a stunning combination of wearability and versatility, expect the full monty, with colours that can be worn in a variety of ways from sultry daytime looks to the intense, smoked-out looks you'll want to sport on a hot date.
Shades include a super-smooth red-brown matte (Ashes), a glimmering copper (Lumbre) and a deep, shifty bronze (Ember). Our favourite shade from the 12? Scorched, a metallic deep red with gold shimmer. Says the brand, "[This] is the most shade-driven Naked palette we've ever done. This palette takes Naked in a whole new direction, building on the hysteria over shades like Bitter (a reddish-brown matte from Vice4) and Extra Bitter (a burnt orange matte from Naked Ultimate Basics). We're completely hooked on the current cult-favorite neutrals: Warm burnt reds, coppers, siennas and butterscotch. These shades look insanely flattering on any skin tone. Ember is our go-to shade for the perfect warm smoky eye. We also can't get enough of Scorched, a metallic deep red with gold micro-shimmer, and Dirty Talk, a really beautiful metallic burnt red."
Inspired by the fiery collection, the brand has also included three, limited edition, sultry shades of Vice lipstick — Fuel, Heat and Scorched — and two, new shades of the 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils. To differentiate the lippies from others in the collection, the covers were dipped in a coppery hue. Wear these makeup shade extensions with your regular look or with the Naked Heat palette. Either way, you're bound to slay. Check out the colours from the collection in closer detail below.
