Sulwhasoo has a brand new cushion foundation
Portable and pretty
Whatever luxury skincare brand Sulwhasoo does, they do the best. Their parent company Amore Pacific was the first on the market to introduce the ingenious cushion foundation and it took off in a major way in Korea and the world over. The secret? Giving users the luminosity and translucence offered by a liquid foundation, with the ease of a compact.
Although it started off with Laneige, sister company Sulwhasoo offers the luxury version of the cushion foundation. The new Perfecting Cushion Brightening does exactly what it promises. It helps perfect skin — a light layer is enough to cover minor imperfections and redness. It also brightens the complexion thanks to a pearlescent complex in the formula that contains mother of pearl powder to give your skin a subtle 'glowiness'. Additionally, white magnolia extract prevents freckles from forming by blocking melanin production.
It's a pretty good deal when your makeup can provide a soft focus finish on-the-go plus there's an oil-capture system to matte down the skin so it doesn't feel sticky. Still, oilier-complexioned women may find they need a touch-up on particularly hot days or if they're outdoors a lot. Although the shades available are not as extensive as most regular foundations, with a fifth shade added to the line-up, more women will be able to find a suitable colour match.
$80 (including one refill). At Sulwhasoo counters from July.
