M.A.C gets in on the K-fashion wave with its newest collaboration
M.A.C works with Korean design duo Steve J and Yoni P for a fun, graphic and colourful new makeup collection

In case you didn't get the memo, everything K-related is pretty hot right now. And while many Korean fashion brands have been making waves, only a few have really broken into international markets. Steve J and Yoni P's flirty meets sporty threads retail everywhere from Net-A-Porter to Selfridges and following a collaboration with Topshop, the brand has finally landed it's first makeup collab with M.A.C. Originally from Korea, but having studied at Central Saint Martins, the duo masterfully blend feminine touches with a street edge in their wearable designs.

 

 

 

Expect the same cheeky and progressive stance from their fashion label to mark their collection of makeup products with the starting point being Yoni P's signature look of blonde hair and thick, black eyeliner. The packaging is playful and irreverant while the palette a mix of cheery pinks and smoky-warm neutrals. Says the duo "To us, M.A.C is synonymous with Yoni's signature black eyeliner, so we wanted to base the packaging design on her iconic look. The graphics of the components and makeup bag speak articulately to the existing street style in Seoul. M.A.C helped us to echo our own character and lifestyle to develop the mood of our products and product selection. With pinks and peach shades for the lips and cheek, we went a little smokier to complete the eye, balancing a feminine vibe mixed with sporty hints." Expect sparkly shadows, notice-me lipsticks and handy lip and cheek palettes to be among the offerings.
