The next time you're in Paris be sure to pay the refurbished Ritz Hotel a visit. The grand dame of the city of lights is currently undergoing a refurbishment, but will re-open at the end of the year. And it's been confirmed that luxury brand Chanel (which has extensive skincare offerings) will be launching its first ever Chanel au Ritz Paris spa there.
There's already an opulent suite — Suite Coco Chanel — that is named after the iconic designer who lived in the hotel even through the second world war. So mysterious and valuable were the contents of her suite, that a 17th century Charles Le Brun painting was recently uncovered when the hotel was taking inventory before the renovations.
On that note, we can't wait to see what the décor and spa offerings will be at the new Chanel spa. Black and white tiles, camellia accents and maybe even a run-in with the kaiser himself as he leaves from his spa treatment? We can hardly wait.
