Watch Robert Pattinson traipse through an urban jungle for Dior Homme Sport
Walk this way
It's been some time since his Twilight days. But although Robert Pattinson has not been as prominent on our movie screens as former girlfriend Kristen Stewart — who hilariously made reference to the cheating scandal that dodged the couple in 2012 in her recent opening monologue when she hosted Saturday Night Live — the actor has been busy making movies like The Lost City of Z and Good Times. Pattinson, who has been the face of Dior Homme fragrances since 2013 appears in the campaign for the newly updated fragrance Dior Homme Sport that was shot by Romain Gavras, a Greek French director.
The film splices scenes of Robert Pattinson with snapshots of New York, seen as a buzzing urban jungle, shot in cinematic black and white. Set to the strains of Walk this Way, the classic Aerosmith and Run DMC song, the film doesn't contain your typical sports perfume imagery. Instead what you get is the Dior man in sync with the living and breathing pulse of the city, as a hypnotic montage of scenes — from men playing basketball to a couple caught in the throes of passion to a woman dancing on a rooftop — captures the free-thinking and free-moving Dior spirit. The new fragrance, created by Dior's François Demachy has been updated with more 'extreme' fruits and 'explosive' touches, with notes that include lemon, blood orange, grapefruit, pink pepper, nutmeg and a woody base of sandalwood and vetiver. Also updated? The bottle, which is now more refined and sleeker.
