1. Sleek and shiny

This polished, Don Draper-esque look is all about creating the perfect lines and maximising shine. Always work with a wet base, and go on to apply a strong, wet gel all over. This will keep hair in place and maintain the sheen thoughout the day. Try the L'Oréal Professionnel Tecni Art Fix Max. It moulds hair into the desired shape and stays on. Once the gel goes on, use a comb to achieve the parting and shape that you prefer. A severe side-part works for this look, and your fringe should be combed back and slightly over to the side. Finish off with a spray like the L'Oréal Professionnel Tecni Art Air Fix.

2. Tousled

This look is all about creating volume and texture. Begin by using Redken Fashion Waves Sea Salt Spray on wet hair. As you dry your hair away from your face and upwards, the spray creates texture. Once your hair is dry, use a matte product like Redken's Rough Clay 20 to achieve shape and staying power.

3. Long-fringed

Length is definitely needed on the front for this 'do, and smooth texture is key to the look. Like the other two, start with a wet base and utilise a texturising spray. Personally, I prefer the American Crew Alternator Spray. Cover the entire head and blow dry your locks forward. If you have wavy hair, use a paddle brush to smoothen out kinks. When dry, a hair straightener will give you a more polished look (though this is optional). Finish off with a dry product like American Crew's Boost Powder as it provides hold and texture, but has a matte finish.
