We're in love with the eye-catching makeup at the Chanel FW16 show
Eyes on the prize
Recalling the Ben-Day dots used by painter Roy Lichtenstein, the eye makeup sported by the models at Chanel's fall/winter show was anything but ordinary
As the models made their way around the Grand Palais, every guest, from Pharell Williams to Buro 24/7 Singapore's own Fashion Editor Dora Aljoofri was treated to a front row view of the collection. But while guests ooh-ed and aah-ed over the lush tweeds reworked in brilliant new incarnations, opulent pearls and quirky accessories, we had our eyes firmly on the makeup.
Blink and you would've missed the gorgeous, graphic pointilism-like makeup created by Tom Pecheux for the show. While still pretty, the quilted pattern — inspired by the brand's luxurious bags — had a quietly subversive spin that we can't wait to try on ourselves.
