Cult French fragrance house Maison Francis Kurkdjian (MFK) is the go-to brand for perfume aficionados and those in the know. And in 2016, MFK  has collaborated with another much-lauded name, Maison Baccarat, to celebrate its 250th anniversary. The result is Baccarat Rouge 540. The scent is named for the process by which the crystal is heated with 24 carat gold at a temperature of 540 degrees celcius to create a glowing, scarlet hue.

The juice itself is a bit of an enigma. Despite what its opulent name and rosy hue suggests, it is actually a very wearable, luminous, unisex Eau de Parfum with notes of ambergris and woody floral tones.
